Labour Dispute at Land Title Office Over

Early this week I learned that the Land Title & Survey Authority reached a tentative 3 year collective agreement with the BCGEU.  Thankfully, the threat of job action has passed and any registration of mortgages and real estate transfers will continue without issue. Press release here.

On January 18th 2011, the British Columbia Government Employees Union took a strike vote of the unionized staff of the Land Title Survey Authority (Land Title Office).  Strike action was supported by 105 of the 107 votes cast.  While it appears both sides want to continue negotiations; talks had broken down before Christmas.

BCREA Reporting Increase in Month over Month Sales
